Medical NLP Experts (MD/PhD)

About the Role

We are looking for Medical NLP Experts who combine clinical or biomedical knowledge with natural language processing expertise. You will help train AI to understand clinical notes, medical literature, ICD codes, and healthcare data. This niche role is ideal for MD/PhD dual-degree holders, clinical informaticists, or biomedical NLP researchers.

Requirements

• •MD, PhD, or both in a medical or biomedical field
• •Research or applied experience with clinical NLP, EHR data, or biomedical text mining
• •Familiarity with tools like spaCy, cTAKES, or MedSpaCy
• •Understanding of clinical terminology, SNOMED CT, ICD-10/11, and UMLS
• •Ability to annotate and evaluate clinical text at a expert level

Responsibilities

• •Create and annotate clinical NLP training examples from real-world medical text
• •Evaluate AI performance on clinical note understanding and ICD coding
• •Review AI-generated medical summaries for accuracy and completeness
• •Develop benchmark tasks for medical entity recognition and relation extraction
• •Bridge clinical knowledge and NLP methodology in training data design
